{"id":22182,"date":"2025-08-08T11:02:36","date_gmt":"2025-08-08T09:02:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/womeninit.org.za\/?p=22182"},"modified":"2025-08-08T11:02:36","modified_gmt":"2025-08-08T09:02:36","slug":"call-for-mentors-be-part-of-the-wiit-mentorship-pavilion-at-leaderex-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/womeninit.org.za\/index.php\/call-for-mentors-be-part-of-the-wiit-mentorship-pavilion-at-leaderex-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Mentors: Be Part of the WIIT Mentorship Pavilion at Leaderex 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Help Build Resilient Economies by Uplifting the Next Generation of Women in IT<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg<\/em><br \/>\n<em>Tuesday, 9 September 2025<\/em><br \/>\n<em>09h00 \u2013 17h00<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In celebration of Women\u2019s Month 2025, and in alignment with this year\u2019s national theme \u201cBuilding Resilient economies for all,\u201d the IITPSA Women in IT (WIIT) Chapter is proud to host a dedicated Mentorship Pavilion at Leaderex 2025.<\/p>\n<p>This powerful initiative recognises that resilient economies are inclusive economies, and that empowering women in ICT is essential to building South Africa\u2019s future.<\/p>\n<p>We are calling on Gauteng-based women who are members of the IITPSA and WIIT Chapter to share their experience and leadership by volunteering a few hours of their time as mentors.<\/p>\n<p>At <strong>Leaderex 2025,<\/strong> South Africa\u2019s premier gathering of professionals, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders, the WIIT Mentorship Pavilion will offer <strong>one-on-one, 20-minute informal mentorship sessions<\/strong>. These are designed to support women at various stages of their ICT careers through encouragement, insight, and practical guidance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We\u2019re looking for 8\u201310 women in ICT who:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Have 8+ years of ICT experience<\/li>\n<li>Hold a senior management or leadership role<\/li>\n<li>Are strong communicators<\/li>\n<li>Are willing to volunteer a few hours of their time on 9 September 2025 at the Sandton Convention Centre<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mentors may commit to either a half-day (minimum 4 hours) or full day.
