On 21 March, South Africa commemorates Human Rights Day, a moment to honor the sacrifices made for freedom, dignity, and equality. This year, as we reflect on our fundamental rights, we also recognize the urgency to Accelerate Action in advancing gender equality and digital inclusion.
While our Constitution guarantees the right to dignity, equality, and freedom from discrimination, women in the technology sector still face barriers that hinder their full participation in the digital economy. The right to equal opportunities, fair wages, and safe working environments must not be a privilege—it is a human right.
